International Overdose Awareness Day

 

Did you know hat at least 269 million people around the world used drugs in 2018, which is 30% more than in 2009? The CDC reported there were 70,980 oversode deaths in the US in 2019 alone. That’s more than any year in history. Poverty, limited education and lack of support networks are major risk factors for drug use disorders. This is more important than ever! *

Today on International Overdose Awareness Day it is Time to Remeber. Time to Act.

Drug Free America Foundation, has a Online Campaign for the International Overdose Awareness Day, with highlights from prominent speakers from across the globe, many of whom are members of the WFAD. The following themes are highlighted:
