St. Ephrem Patriarchal Development Committee (EPDC) is a faith-based non-governmental, nonprofit organization which is the relief arm of the Syriac Orthodox Patriarchate of Antioch and All the East. In 2012, EPDC started responding to the needs of the affected people, and in 2014, EPDC gained its official registration. Since then, EPDC has been responding to the needs of the most vulnerable groups in almost all the Syria governorates putting humanity and dignity as the compass of the response. With the motto “from empathy to action”, EPDC operates through a vast sector scope. This includes Health, MHPSS, Protection (GBV, CP), Education, Early Recovery and Livelihood, WASH, Shelter, NFI, Food Security and Agriculture, and Nutrition. In addition, EPDC targets vulnerable people, including individuals in rehab, ex-prisoners, people with disabilities with special services to reintegrate them into

the society. Also, EPDC targets children, female-headed households, people living with disabilities, and vulnerable households.
