Kibao Salama Foundation [KISAFO] is a Non-governmental organization and nonprofit making, established since 2020 with registration number OONGO/R/1480, Act, 2002 made under Section 12 (2) of Act No. 24 of 2002 as it amended 2003. The organization has its headquarters in Dar es Salaam region and a branch at Chalinze Pwani. Aiming at dealing with community Issues in social and health aspects such as HIV/AIDS, TB, Drug addiction and Gender-based violence. Targeting key and vulnerable population
Kibao Salama Foundation comprises professional workers who are ready to build a better productive and future community by eliminating the youth population from using drugs. Also to educate the community on HIV AIDS, TB, HEPATITIS B & C, STIs, gender-based violence, legal aid and violence
against children and women.
It has been the philosophy of KISAFO to identify and reach key vulnerable populations, empower and educate them on risk behaviours (alcoholism, drug abuse, sexual activities) and have a unique understanding of the challenges facing adolescent girls, women, Youth and communities on how to best mobilize, engage, and motivate to lead changes. The community outreach workers/peer educator model is used to mobilize, organize and link key and vulnerable populations to access health services to nearby health facilities to ensure that participation of the community is completely developed and vulnerable populations attain self-reliance. We have aimed to work on the specific needs of key and vulnerable populations including PLHIV PWUD,
Youth, adolescent girls, young women, and Female Sex Workers in providing education on social and health issues.
