Somali anti drug misuse act is Non Profit making, Non Political Organization that was established in the year 2017. The organization’s establishment was behind by Dr Khalif, one of the Somali doctors who was in field for more than 10 years working for the communities and came across different health management issues. His idea came after “Every year, medical malpractice is a serious problem for thousands of Somali people across the country.
SADMA’s main focus is on demand reduction. The aim of demand reduction is to empower the general public with sufficient information to facilitate informed decisions against the debut and/or continuation of consumption of intoxicating substances. It involves providing preventive education, public awareness and advocacy, life skills, treatment and rehabilitation, and psycho-social support to the target populations.
