Whoever regards him as an “expert” is irrelevant. What is more relevant is his ranting about the World Drug Report, which obviously annoys him. According to the “expert”, aka as Professor Alex Stevens at the University of Kent (UK), “people across the world are losing patience with the failure to produce the often promised, but undelivered, reductions in drug use and harms. The harms of prohibitive, punitive drug control are becoming clearer. Pressure is rising to dismantle the existing regime and put a new, more effective and less damaging system in its place.” To put it bluntly, Stevens is obviously in favour of legalization. He is referring to criticism from The Global Commission on Drug Policy. People across the world know what that commission is all about. The problem is not that “people across the world are losing patience”. People around the world are rather losing patience with the ignorance among “experts” who, under the auspices of compassion and “science”, promote legalization of drugs.
