A few, less than 3 per cent of the 435 U.S. Reps, have supported the H.R. 499 pot bill which proposes several changes to federal law regarding marijuana, including that the federal government should decriminalize pot, remove it from the list of controlled substances, and leave it up to the states to regulate it. It is important that the remaining 97 per cent of Reps hold their horses and don’t succumb to arguments by pot proponents who ultimately want to add pot to already existing health issues caused by alcohol and tobacco.

According to govtrack.us H.R. 499 has a 2% chance of getting past committee, and a 1% chance of being enacted.

Let us keep it that way!
