STAND provides direct and accessible treatment and support to individuals, and families, in relation to substance abuse, sexual & violent abuse in the most impoverished communities in the Western Cape, South Africa. STAND carries out its mission through an integrated program portfolio of professional treatment, healing, life skills, education and advocacy.
The STAND Model of Community Based Treatment is a pioneering best practice evidence based model and is the only fully registered free professional and multidisciplinary substance abuse treatment service in the entire rural Langeberg Region of the Cape Winelands.
Our program approach is not to treat in isolation but rather to INCLUDE family members and loved ones as a unit to restore a balanced family life and better social functioning. STAND is a registered, annually audited and Tax Exempt Public Benefit Organisation with Level 1 BB-BEE SED accreditation.
