UTRIP is a non-governmental and a non-profit research institute and a think tank in the field of prevention and advocacy. It aims to conduct research, develop, implement, monitor and evaluate the projects and programmes in the field of youth risk behaviour, addiction prevention, health promotion, healthy lifestyle and public health advocacy. UTRIP is a member of World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD), Movendi International, Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs, European FASD Association (EUFASD), European Alcohol Policy Alliance (Eurocare), European Alcohol Policy Network (APN), Civil Society Forum on Drugs (CSFD), International Confederation of Alcohol, Tobacco and Other Drug (ATOD) Research Associations (ICARA), Global Law Enforcement and Public Health Association (GLEPHA), National Prevention Science Coalition (NPSC), NCD Alliance etc. It has been involved in more than 25 European projects, co-financed by the European Commission under the Health Programme, the Drug Policy Initiatives Programme, the Erasmus Plus Programme, the Justice Programme etc. UTRIP is a national centre for evidence-based prevention programmes Unplugged, Good Behavior Game (GBG), Boys and Girls Plus, EFFEKT and The Strengthening Families Program (SFP) (by Prof Karol Kumpfer).
