It’s impossible not to be moved by the suffering of people stricken by debilitating diseases such as cancer, Parkinson’s and multiple sclerosis. And everyone wants to do what they can to ensure that the sick are treated compassionately and all possible steps are taken to alleviate their pain and discomfort. Those behind efforts to legalize medical marijuana in Florida are no doubt sincere in their beliefs. Unfortunately, I foresee disastrous results if their efforts are successful.
