Corrupt mayor and police chief delivered weapons to Mexican drug cartels

A southern New Mexico border town is without a mayor, police chief and a trustee. All are under arrest and facing federal charges following a raid.

Federal authorities moved into Columbus fast Thursday morning, arresting ten of the eleven defendants on the indictment, among them Columbus Mayor Eddie Espinoza and Police Chief Angelo Vega, reports NewsChannel 9.
