He has been practicing psychiatry for more than 30 years. He is medical director at Texas Star Recovery in Austin, an inpatient/outpatient treatment program for people with chemical dependency problems, and regional medical director for the Phoenix Academy, which has adult and adolescent chemical dependency programs in Texas and several other states.
