You don´t need to be a rocket scientist to understand that “medical” marijuana should be understood as marijuana bu$ine$$. Today, the Los Angeles Times reports that documents show a cash-infused retail world bearing little resemblance to the one pitched to voters for the 1996 Compassionate Use Act for ‘seriously ill Californians.
‘No wonder! That is the purpose of Snake Oil Medicine Ltd. Marijuana bu$ine$$ entrepreneurs have realized that a lot of money can be made by promoting “medical” use of marijuana for people who want to get high under the auspices of “medical use”. However, one might wonder how U.S. governors, mayors and some politicians have been fooled into believing that the present marijuana bu$ine$$ has anything to do with medicine and compassion.
For many years, the U.S. Drug Policy Alliance & consortes have preached their sermons from the ivory tower of the legalization movement to promote the idea that more people should be offered the opportunity to be on drugs.
The alleged “medical” marijuana compassion is a marijuana bu$ine$$ scam, regardless of who promotes it. A Global Commission gave it a try, as did other, equally badly informed, citizens.
If you don´t want your kids and relatives to use marijuana you need to fight the weed warriors who want to drug your country. A bad idea remains a bad idea regardless of how many people promote it.
