Tobacco farmers should be grateful

The Sacramento Bee reports that “more than 30 million tobacco farmers worldwide today reacted with outrage to the publication of new proposals to regulate tobacco farming by the World Health Organization’s (WHO) Framework Convention on Tobacco Control (FCTC), vowing to rally governments to oppose the measures.”

Strange, isn´t it? Tobacco farmers should be grateful that more than 30 million tobacco users might survive should tobacco farming be strictly regulated and, finally, outlawed.
