News from Colorado reaching Europe is all about marijuana as if nothing else matters over there. People in Europe are not impressed, but rather astonished about how so many people are wasting valuable time discussing pro-pot measures.
Fox News reports:
– Colorado should erect signs in airports and borders telling visitors they can’t take pot home, the task force recommended.
– The task force agreed Tuesday that the constitutional amendment on marijuana simply says that adults over 21 can use the drug, not just Colorado residents. If lawmakers agree with the recommendation, tourists would be free to buy and smoke marijuana.
– The task force couldn’t agree whether a “locked” and “secure” location would mean a backyard surrounded by a fence, or whether an enclosure such as a shed or greenhouse should be mandatory.
– Public use also prompted a dispute that wasn’t resolved Tuesday.
Denver, or Denverdam as it is called in Europe nowadays, seems to be happy to receive pothead tourists en masse, now preparing for and booking their plane tickets from all over the world for the Cannabis Cup to be held in Denver April 20-21.
As pro-pot measures seems to be on top of the political agenda in Colorado the task force might as well set up a subcommittee to discuss the design and the number of signs that should be erected in airports and at borders. Maybe the design and contents of a handout flyer could be an equally important task for the task force subcommittee. Make sure people disagree right from the beginning as that will keep the subcommittee busy, giving the public the impression that something important is going on.
In the meantime local, state and federal law enforcement agencies might think about what to do on April 20-21 while the U.S. Administration is resting on its laurels.
