New Zealand: Big drop in the use of methamphetamine
Prime Minister John Key says that when the government launched its plan to tackle methamphetamine in 2009 New Zealand had one of the highest rates in the world – 2.1 per cent of the population was using the drug. The latest data shows that has more than halved to 0.9 per cent.
