Colorado’s authorities decided to install amnesty boxes at the Colorado Springs Airport for people who didn’t realize it is illegal to possess marijuana on a plane. According to the Gazette newspaper the installation of boxes began on Wednesday and passengers will have the opportunity to give up the pot without penalty, local police chief told the newspaper. And all the marijuana placed in the special amnesty boxes will then be destroyed. William Lowe, treasurer of Citizens Against Legalizing Marijuana (CALM), all-volunteer Political Action Committee, discussed the issue with the VoR.
