Honduran police in the pockets of organized crime

Honduran Newspaper El Heraldo has leaked the report of an internal affairs investigation that reveals a long list of felonies committed by members of the national police. The document shows how many Honduran police have become allies of drug-traffickers and organized crime. These officers no longer protect citizens; rather, they help criminals with their activities. They give them confidential information, sell disclosed files, and aide their escapes from jail. They also provide uniforms, weapons, cell phones, and narcotics.
