A Vietnamese-Australian man, 47-year-old Tam Minh Dang, allegedly caught “red handed” over the importation of 58kg of heroin worth an estimated $15 million, has been granted bail. Something must be terribly wrong with the Brisbane Supreme Court or any other court granting bail in such cases.
Any importer of 58 kg of heroin should be remanded in custody awaiting trial. The decision by the Supreme Court is legal hypocrisy at its worst.
