Bolivia´s proposal to remove the ban of coca leaf is dead

Today was the deadline for countries to submit objections to Bolivia´s proposal to remove the ban on coca leaf chewing.

The proposal is dead! By now, at least six countries, including the United States, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Canada, Denmark and Germany have formally notified the UN that they reject Bolivia´s proposed amendment to the 1961 UN Single Convention on Drugs.
