Police in Victoria, Australia have executed a number of warrants at properties across metropolitan and regional Victoria from 7am this morning (November 23) as part of “Operation Entity”, a significant Victoria Police drug investigation.

The two-year investigation targeted a number of alleged crime syndicates involved in the production of cannabis. Police are expecting to make a number of arrests and restrain a significant number of properties today.

The operation involves almost 650 sworn and unsworn members from the Drug Task Force, Criminal Proceeds Squad, Crime Department, Operations Response Unit, Regional Response Units and local police, along with members of the AFP. The operation is the single biggest day of raids in Victoria Police history.

A total of 68 properties have been raided, over 40 people have been arrested and more than 7200 cannabis plants seized.
