Prescription painkiller overdoses: Methadone

Overdose deaths from powerful painkillers have been surging at an alarming rate in the U.S. Still, methadone accounts for nearly one-third of prescription painkiller deaths, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention reported Tuesday.
