Russian and US heads of drug control services unanimously and resolutely turned down legalization of any narcotics.
Head of the Russian drug control service Viktor Ivanov emphasized this last Friday at a meeting with reporters in Washington, stressing that there is no and must not be such a perspective. The US leadership, my partner Gil Kerlikowske and I as a responsible head of the department for struggle against drugs, totally spurn down a possibility of legalizing the so-called light narcotics – such as marijuana, Ivanov said.
