Gunjan Organisation, established in 2003, is a non-profit organisation dedicated to improving public health, empowering women, supporting the education of women and children, and providing care and rehabilitation for people affected by drug and alcohol addiction. Gunjan has developed deep community roots and a strong reputation for delivering impactful programs, particularly in Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh.


The organisation holds the distinction of being the State-Level Coordinating Agency for Himachal Pradesh and Chandigarh under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment (MSJE), Government of India, for the Scheme of Prevention of Alcoholism and Substance (Drugs) Abuse.

Gunjan’s core service area is Drug Demand Reduction through a combination of prevention, treatment, rehabilitation, and capacity building of key stakeholders such as healthcare providers, law enforcement, educators, and community leaders. The organisation also actively engages in public health awareness through a Community Radio Station operating in Dharamshala, which serves as a platform for social awareness and community dialogue.
