The "CENTER" as commonly called was established early this year (January) with the dual aims of preventing drug Abuse among the youths while also eradicating problems that may affect their mental wellbeing as a result of drug Abuse. The CENTER has focal area in this project:
Strong Advocacy and prevention campaign against drug Abuse through going to schools, public places, worship centers and other places where youths can be found in large numbers
Strong and passionate advocacy /prevention of mental illness as a result of drug Abuse
Skills development of the youths before and after rehabilitation. This will get them engage and shift their focus away from drugs.
The use of education (Quiz , Debate and Essay Competition among schools) with great rewards and scholarship.
The "CENTER" will strongly be doing research on new drugs, their street names, the gender that takers them more, where they are taken and bought, the action of government about those drugs, Legislation and Legal implication, effect of those drugs on the brain and heart etc
