Brain Care Foundation (BCF) is a non for profit/governmental Organization (NGO) based in Nigeria with focus on Mental Health & Drug Demand Reduction Awareness Campaign, Identification and treatment/rehabilitation of individuals with substance abuse and other mental health-related challenges. Apart from offering individualized care, indoor and outdoor services, the Organization also strive to integrate the victims of the aforementioned conditions with their loved ones upon recovery with the sole aim of promoting the overall mental well-being.
The Organization was established to help mitigate the prevailing increased cases of Mental illness which have left the entire society littered with persons with Mental Disorders and the overwhelming epidemic of Substance abuse which is currently ravaging the world including Nigeria, most especially, the youth with little or no effort by the relevant stakeholders to curb it, the need for proper sensitization/awareness cannot be overemphasized. Also, the apparent low level of awareness and misconceptions surrounding Mental illness is a thing of serious concern. This unarguably has led to the victims or their loved ones in search of help in the wrong hands/places or outright abandonment of the victims to their fate, hence, the establishment of Brain Care Foundation to bridge the gap and provide assistance to the innocent victims.
BCF, was founded in September 2020 by Mr. Eze Nsi Ude, a Clinical Psychologist with Alex Ekwueme Federal University Teaching Hospital, Abakaliki, Ebonyi State, Nigeria and other teams of like minds.
