The World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD), together with the Young Professionals Advisory Board (YPAB), a youth-led initiative of the Drug Free America Foundation, is pleased to invite you to the fourth webinar in the six-month Youth-Led Webinar Series.
The 30-minute webinar will take place on 24 September 2026 at 14:00 CEST and will explore prevention and artificial intelligence, including how AI can support prevention work and improve access to evidence-informed knowledge. The discussion will look at the growing role of AI in prevention and some of the opportunities emerging for professionals, practitioners and decision-makers.
The webinar will feature Matej Košir, Director of the Institute for Research and Development “Utrip” (UTRIP) in Slovenia, who has 25 years of experience in substance use prevention and advocacy. During the session, he will share insights on the use of AI in prevention and introduce Preventina (PreventAdvisor), an AI tool developed by Utrip to support prevention science, policy and practice.
Matej also serves as Chair of the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs (VNGOC), and his work has been recognised by both the European Society for Prevention Research and the Society for Prevention Research.
The Youth-Led Webinar Series brings together young leaders, professionals, advocates and experts from around the world to explore issues affecting young people and strengthen youth engagement in substance use prevention. The topics discussed throughout the series have been identified by young people, and each session is led and moderated by youth representatives.
We warmly invite young people, practitioners, policymakers, researchers, civil society organisations and anyone interested in substance use prevention to join us for this discussion.
