Seminar Announcement: Drug Policy Developments in the USA and Sweden, November 24 in Stockholm, Sweden

The World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) invites organisations and individuals working on drug policy to a seminar (in English) in Stockholm on 24 November 2026. The seminar will bring together participants to discuss developments in drug policy in the United States and Sweden, share experiences and explore opportunities for cooperation.

We will be joined by Amy Ronshausen, WFAD’s International President, who will share perspectives and experiences from the United States. Together, we will discuss what lessons can be drawn from developments in the US and how these relate to the Swedish context.

Topics will include current drug policy developments, lessons from the opioid crisis and overdose prevention, cannabis legislation and commercialisation, and the role of civil society in drug policy work.

An important part of the seminar will be the exchange of experiences and perspectives. Participants will have the opportunity to contribute their own insights, discuss future challenges and explore possibilities for collaboration.
