Welcome to Arizona where a few “certifiers” make tons of dollars from “patients” suffering from everything and nothing. A new report from the Arizona Department of Health Services tells you the following:
• 472 physicians certified 36,346 patients from July 2012 through June 2013
• 99 naturopathic physicians (combining traditional medicine and natural medical approaches) certified 27,275 patients, and 21 naturopaths were responsible for about 72 percent of certifications by such medical professionals.
Please feel free to calculate the income for the 21 naturopaths responsible for about 72 percent of the snake oil certifications.
