On 23 and 24 October, WFAD participated in the 6th Istanbul Initiative Summit, hosted by the Turkish Green Crescent. The Summit gathered over 25 international NGOs and prevention, treatment, and recovery networks to exchange knowledge, experience, and policy updates. The Summit Agenda was diverse, including discussions on youth engagement, the growing challenges of synthetic drugs, cannabis legalisation risks, Human Rights, and the shrinking space of NGOs. The participants reflected upon the realities in their countries and discussed needs, gaps, and opportunities for collaboration. On the first day, we were graced with the visit and concluding words by the Director of Yesilay and the Turkish Minister of Health Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu. The evening was finalised with a music concert. On the final day, we visited the Yesilay Market.
