WFAD is organising a two-day Training on Gender: Tools and Methods, facilitated by Billy Batware (Certified Trainer and Coach). The training will take place on July 15th and 16th, 2021 between 15:00-17:00 CEST (Find your timezone here). The training aims to strengthen capacity by providing evidence, experience, case examples, and guidelines on [the need for] gender-inclusive programmes. The training is set up to be interactive and will offer opportunities for participants to join discussions in thematic groups and engage throughout the session. A certificate will be provided upon finalising the training.
After the Teaser webinar organised in week 22, which aimed to map the needs of participants and members in the forthcoming gender training, a basis for the upcoming training has been established. Participants are welcomed to add additional comments on and share expectations of the upcoming training in the registration form.
The number of seats is limited, welcoming WFAD Members to apply. It is important to attend if you sign up. In the event you are no longer able to attend, please email us at . The deadline to apply is June 25th, 2021.
* The Capacity-Strengthening Gender Training is part of the WFAD ten-year strategic plan and the 2020-2022 Action Plan adopted by the General Assembly in 2020, focussing particularly on the needs and rights of women and children in our field. In light of this, the WFAD will offer trainings on both topics separately during 2021. This first training provides the opportunity to highlight gender issues, women-specific interventions, and evidence-based practice.
