On August 25th, TSAFI, an initiative of Drug Free America Foundation and the World Federation Against Drugs, launched the global campaign “Start with the Truth: Trauma & Addiction—the science of trauma and addiction, explained clearly and humanely.” Over the last three weeks, the campaign has highlighted the impact of trauma and its importance in integrating it into our services, ranging from prevention to rehabilitation.

The campaign, published in English and Spanish, has received global traction and is only the beginning of our efforts to create a paradigm shift in prevention and treatment. But we won’t stop here – we will continue to make the link of trauma and addiction central to every conversation, intervention, and solution to build a new foundation for long-lasting prevention and recovery.
