Global Policy Advocacy Training – October 25th, 2021, at 3pm CEST

We invite you to join the Global Advocacy Training upcoming Monday, October 25th, from 9AM EST (3PM CEST) until 12PM (6PM CEST). The training is organised by Drug Free America.

During the training, global experts will discuss the changing marijuana policy landscape in the Americas, including a focus on advocacy, best practices, and successful efforts.

The keynote speaker during the training is Amy Ronshausen. She is the Executive Director of Drug Free America Foundation, Inc., and the International President of the World Federation Against Drugs.

There will be two panels focusing on two seperate discussions topics and different panellists.

Panel 1: Effective Advocacy Strategies and Best Practices

  • Dr Mariano Montenegro – Director of the Colombo Plan Office for Latin America and the Caribbean Trainer for the UNODC in Latin America and the Caribbean.
  • Kristin Kidd – MA,  Coordinator of the Southeast Prevention Technology Transfer Center (PTTC) at Wake Forest School of Medicine.

Panel 2: Advocacy in Action

  • Dr Humberto Soriano – President of the Medical Society for Prevention, Chile
  • Dr Kevin Sabet – PhD, President and CEO of Smart Approaches to Marijuana
