Session 3: Treatment, and Recovery-Oriented Care
13 May, 13:00–14:30 CEST
What does effective treatment look like, and how can recovery be supported in a way that is person-centred, inclusive, and sustainable? This session explores how treatment and recovery-oriented care can be strengthened across the continuum of care, from harm reduction to rehabilitation.
The session will examine how families, communities, and service providers can play a more active role in supporting recovery and reintegration. It will also address the importance of tackling stigma, and integrating mental health and trauma-informed approaches within recovery pathways. Drawing on both clinical expertise and community-based practice, speakers will share practical insights and experiences from their work.
The World Federation Against Drugs invites members to a five-part online training series on Building Resilient and Inclusive Responses to Substance Use and Addiction, as part of this year’s World Forum series, bringing together voices from across our global network to explore practical approaches to prevention, treatment, and recovery.
Insights you will gain for Session 3:
• Person-centred and recovery-oriented approaches to treatment
• Opportunities for families and communities to actively support recovery and reintegration
• Tools to address stigma, trauma, and mental health within recovery pathways
