Connecticut Governor Dannel P. Malloy has signed into law legislation that allows licensed physicians to certify an adult patient’s use of snake oil medicine* after determining that the patient has a specified debilitating disease or medical condition and could benefit from its regulated treatment. Once again we have a State prepared to deliver “medicine” that has not been approved.The programme makes it possible not only for patients who suffer from a “debilitating disease” but also for “other medical conditions, treatments and diseases”, which could mean almost anything.It´s time for Connecticut to connect to reality and cut ties to those in favour of legalizing snake oil medicine.
