Last week, nine former administrators of DEA signed a letter to Attorney General Eric H. Holder, Jr., requesting that he intervene in state actions to legalize marihuana, specifically in Colorado, Washington, and Oregon where current initiatives are underway. This letter reflects the views of agency appointees who served under seven presidents over a span of 35 years, from 1973 to 2007.
