Major Colombian narcotics trafficker sentenced in Washington, D.C., to 25 years in prison for drug trafficking

Christian Fernando Borda, a major narcotics trafficker aligned with paramilitary groups in Colombia, was sentenced Monday to serve 25 years in prison for conspiring to import ton-quantities of cocaine into the United States, announced Acting Assistant Attorney General Mythili Raman of the Justice Department’s Criminal Division and Administrator Michele M. Leonhart of the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA).
