Brent William Thomson, 49, a police prosecutor who was based at Auckland central police station, pleaded guilty to three drugs charges in Waitakere District Court today. Thomson is the fifth police employee or officer known to have faced prosecution this year on drugs charges, but Greg O’Connor, president of the Police Association, said this shows the force will not tolerate criminals within its ranks.
