Lower Shore doctors have reaped more than $300,000 since 2009 from pharmaceutical companies in a practice that, while legal, is facing growing scrutiny nationwide.Those companies spend tens of millions of dollars every year on doctors’ meals and travel and to hire them as promotional speakers, consultants and researchers.
