Women Concern (WOCO) is a non-profit organisation based in Bukavu, South Kivu, Democratic Republic of the Congo, established in 2016. The organisation works to promote the dignity, empowerment, and rights of women and girls, particularly those living in vulnerable situations, including adolescent girls, survivors of gender-based violence, female heads of household, women with disabilities, and internally displaced women.
WOCO’s vision is to build a society where the dignity of women and girls is prioritised. Its mission is to help rural women and girls discover their potential and support their promotion, development, and socio-economic empowerment in order to contribute to inclusive and sustainable development.
