People in Great Britain are concerned about drugs, but few believe that legalising specific substances is the best course of action, according to an Angus Reid Public Opinion poll.
In the online survey of a representative national sample of 2,007 British adults, 56 per cent of respondents believe the United Kingdom has a serious drug abuse problem that affects the whole country.
Just over a third of Britons (35%) believe the UK’s drug abuse problem is confined to specific areas and people. Only four per cent of respondents believe the United Kingdom does not have a serious drug abuse problem at this time.
