Our member, Kawempe Youth Development Association, shares their Annual Review of 2020. Kawempe Youth Development Association (KYDA) is a local grassroot NGO operating in Kampala, Mityana, Hoima, Luweero, Nakaseke, Nakasongola, and Wakiso Districts in central Uganda. They aim to impact the lives of children living in the less disadvantaged situations such as slums, street children, orphans. They provide educational sponsorships, nutritional support, vocational training, psychosocial support and counselling, etc.

In their annual review, they summarise the year, describe their vision, mission, and values, and showcase projects that highlighted the year 2020. During 2020, the COVID-19 pandemic also impacted their communities and work. However, the organisation continued their programmes with safety measures and also started new projects navigating the pandemic. Read about all of their projects here
