One-Day Seminar on Drug-Crime Prevention

On the 25th of February 2021, Daniel Nwankwo Foundation Hosted a one-day seminar on drug-crime prevention in collaboration with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), People Against Drug Dependence & Ignorance (PADDI) foundation, and the International Society Of Substance Use Professionals (ISSUP). In attendance, we had officials from organizations like the Department of State Services (DSS), Nigerian Police Force (NPF), National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS0, Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Right Steps inc, Nigerian Customs Service (NCS), Abia State University Teaching Hospital (ABSUTH).

The event kicked off with opening remarks from the director of Daniel Nwankwo Foundation, Mrs. Ngozi George Nwankwo, Barr. Eze Eluchie the President of CSNETSDA and PADDI foundation,  His Royal Highness, Engineer E.I. Otete.

They were lectures and presentations from different stakeholders present.  The NDLEA commander for Abia State. Mr. Bamidele Akingbade spoke on Transnational crime. Dr. Chi Hendricks spoke on the life of Daniel Nwankwo whose memory birthed the Daniel Nwankwo Foundation.

Barr. Eze Eluchie spoke on Policing and substance abuse. Mrs. Afolabi gave a lecture on the measures NDLEA is taking to curb drug use and trafficking in Nigeria. CSP Austine representing the commisioner of police Abia state,  spoke on Law enforcement roles on drug abuse

The event had an interactive session, media and photo session, tea breaks, Lunch and presentation of certificates of attendance to the participants.
