One of our newest members, Yai Bai Yak Foundation, has initiated a project called “Drug Free Tripura” in response to the worsening drug crisis in their province Tripura, India due to the pandemic and lack of local strict law and policies. As part of the project, Yak Bai Yak Foundation conducts various awareness programmes in different settings, including rural communities, schools, and inner-city urban areas. The Drug Free Tripura project also raises awareness through poetry, essays, drama, and awareness short videos. They are also planning to conduct community research related to substance use, mental health, and HIV/AIDS prevention.
