WFAD-DRC- Sober Youth- Healthier Communities: Kick off of the Training of Trainers  in Kinshasa

To develop partners’ capacities in the field of drug use prevention and related issues, WFAD-DRC office has called upon an expert from the WFAD partner office in Nairobi, Mr Paul Kogi Mburu to run a three-day extensive training of trainers (ToT) from 9th to 11th November in Kinshasa. The training  targets in total 24 facilitators from our partners-LPI; INTERACTIONS;DASOD, SYFES- and the WFAD- DRC office staff in Kinshasa.

Today 9th November 2020 was the kick off day of the training. Our Country Representative, Dandy Yela opened the session with an introduction and welcoming words. He gave a brief presentation of WFAD before introducing the WFAD-RDC team and the trainer, Mr Paul Kogi Mburu. A session with a very positive interaction of WFAD local partners with participants coming in from Kinshasa and as far as Goma, in the Eastern DRC; highlights of the major actors and groups of interest in the field of drugs: students, teachers, family, community, government, workers, special groups and international actors; their roles and influences in regards to alcohol, drug and substance use.
