Report of Virtual Training Iranian Workshop

The Project “Strengthening social support for homeless drug users in Iran” has officially launched. We congratulate our partners on fantastic efforts in the first implementation of training workshops.

In line with the implementation of part of a bigger project entitled, “Strengthening social support for homeless drug users in Iran” co-funded by European Union and Rebirth Charity Society, this training workshop was held virtually due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To train the project service providers and based on a needs assessment conducted by Iranian and European partners, a list of main training topics was developed. The professional trainers were introduced by European Treatment Centers for Drug addiction (euro-TC), World Federation Against Drugs (WFAD) and Therapiesalon im Wald. Each trainer recorded a presentation on a certain topic based on a single template provided by the project management team. The participants were provided with the recorded training presentations. In addition, a question and answer online session was considered for each presentation where the participants raised their questions and the trainers responded.
