D.A.R.E. International Training Conference – July 13th and 14th

Our member, D.A.R.E. International will be organising the International Training Conference on July 13th and 14th virtually. This free, two-day training conference consists of workshops conducted in English, Spanish, and Portuguese. The conference provides opportunities for attendees to gain enhanced knowledge, useful strategies, and practical skills that will have an immediate, as well as future positive impact within their schools and local communities. Internationally recognised speakers will deliver thought-provoking, dynamic presentations, virtually, in addition to the relevant general sessions and workshops on a wide variety of topics. In addition to the extraordinary learning activities, the conference will include virtual networking events including Opening Ceremonies, and virtual social opportunities.

The 34th D.A.R.E. International Training Conference will provide D.A.R.E. Officers, SROs, educators and other attendees with vital information and tools to adapt and respond to the crises and challenges students in all grades face including

  • Significant increases in substance abuse, particularly the more than 100,000  opioid deaths
  • Student mental health crises including depression, bullying, suicide ideation, and domestic violence;
  • The impact of social media on emotional stability and self-esteem; and
  • Trust issues between schools, families, and law enforcement.
