The one-year collaborative project by WFAD and Fourth Wave Foundation, funded by Forum CIV, in Kerala, India, is already halfway. The Fourth Wave Foundation Team has been active in the past 6 months and has held introductory training, collected data for research, met with representatives from various fields to form multidisciplinary teams, etc. As part of the project, several workshops have been held for different target groups.
These capacity workshops were the second series of workshops which will build the capacity of 750+ child care professionals across Kerala, India from the month of July to September with a focus on approaches to intervention, care, and rehabilitation of children affected by substance abuse. The workshops were conducted in the vulnerable districts of Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Idukki, Kozhikode, Kannur, and Ernakulam. Handbooks in the local languages were distributed.
