We would like to share the invitation by the Ad-Hoc Asia-Pacific Working Group of the Vienna NGO Committee on Drugs to their regional civil society consultation

The Ad-Hoc Asia-Pacific Working Group invites you to participate in the Asia-Pacific Regional Civil Society Consultation in preparation for the Commission on Narcotic Drugs (CND) Mid-term review in 2024. The consultation will take place online on November 21st!

The CND Mid-Term Review is a process that aims to assess the implementation of the 2019 Ministerial Declaration on Strengthening Actions at the National, Regional, and International levels to accelerate the implementation of joint commitments to address and counter the world drug problem. The review will also identify challenges and gaps, as well as best practices and lessons learned to inform future actions and strategies. As a civil society representative working on drug-related issues and based in the Asia-Pacific Region, your participation in this consultation is valuable and important. You will have the opportunity to share your views and experiences with other stakeholders from the region, as well as with representatives of the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC). If you are interested in participating in this consultation, please complete this online registration form by November 19th. You will receive a confirmation email with further details and instructions on how to join the consultation.

Please also consider responding to the Global Online Survey for Civil Society before joining the consultation on November 21st.
