The Nordic Countries are taking seemingly invisible, but nonetheless, rhetorical steps towards the legalisation of cannabis. Therefore, together with our partners WFAD, the Netværk af Danske Cannabis Behandlere, and Forbundet mot Rusgift, we invite you to a two-day Nordic Summit on the effects of cannabis. This is a chance to steer in another direction, towards sound policies that take evidence into account – To protect the Nordic countries from the influence of biased and commercial arguments and to protect the developing brain of young people from the harmful effects of cannabis.
The Nordic Summit on Cannabis will be held on September 27-28th, 2021, in a hybrid format due to the current circumstances and restrictions. Registration for the Summit is free! We welcome everyone to register for the hybrid event! Due to the COVID-19 restrictions, the in-person spots will be limited and are mainly reserved for attendees from the region. More information on the Nordic Summit and the registration is on the Nordic Summit website
What will the Summit offer?
- An informative two-day programme filled with expertise from Nordic and international experts and researchers within the field;
- Possibility to partake in Discussions
- Networking Opportunities
- A “White Guide” where discussions, presentations, and statements of speakers are collected, which can be used by civil society and others who strive to push against this legalisation trend.
The theme of day one is the long-term effects and varying impairments caused by cannabis. The second day of the Forum will cover legalisation trends and responses.
